Day 11

Homeward bound for many

Time for final packing, clearing out the Cabins and loading the cars for the trip to the Airport. It was a bit of a juggling job but all the luggage found a spot and it was an uneventful trip to Sydney Airport for the trip back home. Following luggage check in, there was a few hours wait, with Krispy Creme Doughnuts, the first food spot visited for some. They actually taste quite nice. There was some concern about taking the trophies on the plane but security passed them through and with several other competitors from other States also having theirs with them, it was a case of "spot the competitor".

The time passed quickly or slowly depending on the person and finally the plane was called and it was time for boarding. Then the announcement that the Airport had been closed due to an approaching storm with a delay of about 40 minutes before takeoff. Eventually the storm passed and the plane took off. About 100 minutes later we landed in Adelaide and it was time for farewells after 10 days for many together. Well until next Sunday when we have a final Team BBQ.
