13/01/2012: GKR SA State Team Tryouts 2012 Season

Last year's squad members are now back in training after a most successful 2011 season, in which Squad members won 8 GKR and 2 NAS Australian Champion Titles. As well, squad members picked up 8 GKR and 8 NAS minor places. In both Tournaments, around 75% of Team Members competing, came home with a medal for either individual or Team events. Team members also had the opportunity to enter AKF and other outside Tournaments as approved by Shihan.

An invitation is extended to all South Australian GKR students to attend the State Team Enrolment Days on Sunday 19th and 26th February at Adelaide High School, West Terrace, Adelaide, commencing at 6pm. Please arrive at 05:30pm. There is a standard $10 Training Fee for all students, Pre-paid Training is not applicable for State Team Training. The State Team will once again be coached by Sensei Jeremy Thompson, assisted by Sensei Shane Bennett and other high ranking and very experienced Black Belts. You will also have the opportunity to attend special State Team Seminars with National Squad Coach and five time GKR World Champion Sensei Anthony Ryan. Any GKR Student, regardless of age or grade can train with the team and enter Tournaments upon selection.
